Gordon (Hei Yuen) Chan is a Hong Kong-based filmmaker & composer, and an alumnus of Emerson College (’23).
As a composer, Chan has been classically trained under the ABRSM and has scored over 40 projects. Their work spans commercials, documentaries, and animated/live-action films, collaborating with filmmakers across the United States, China, and the UAE.
As a writer/director, Chan’s films linger on the quiet, unspoken spaces between people – the fragile moments of longing, the growing disconnect of modern life, and the quiet rebellions against an indifferent world. There are no villains in these stories, only people – flawed, yearning, and shaped by their inescapable trauma.
